Creative biography
For me, photography is a way to give shape and form to my experiences, feelings, and current emotional state. It is often a subconscious process, an immersion into the moment where I am an observer and let my senses guide me intuitively. The stories and truths within my photographs often reveal themselves only with time, transforming abstract emotions into tangible expressions of shadows and light.
My favorite subjects are humans, the body, and nature. Nature is a great source of inspiration for me because it doesn't force itself to be different. Nature has its own sense of time. It possesses an abundance of time. Time to bend, grow, die and be reborn. Nature doesn’t worry if its existence is right. In contrast, the human experience often seems like a race against the clock, where we resist our natural cycles and continually seek escape from ourselves. But even that has its own time and place. This too is a necessary part of growth.
I am particularly drawn to the vulnerability of people & their endless, sometimes maddening, questions about existence. These explorations can be as beautiful as they are painful, reflecting the deep yearning for understanding that defines so much of human life.
Photography allows me to explore who this human creature is: How do we let ourselves be seen? How do we connect to our surroundings? My photography is more than a mere visual representation; the aim is to enable others to articulate their feelings, to recognize and validate them, thereby creating a space to honor the full spectrum of human experiences — from pain to joy, from heaviness to light. I want my audience to sense what it truly means to "allow yourself to be." This involves embracing one's feelings and experiences without criticism — simply being present in the moment, fully accepting oneself and one's story. My photography is an invitation to explore these themes, to celebrate our interconnectedness, and to acknowledge our shared vulnerabilities.
Nature and humans are not separate subjects for me. I find it rather dangerous to create a divide between the two. Another truth strongly unites us – we all need each other's support and help. Connection is a fascinating topic for me because it's among the basic needs of people. We spend our whole lives either feeling or longing for deep, sustaining connections. It puts us in our most vulnerable state. Because the pain that can come from it is often unbearable. My goal is to create art that not only explores but also strengthens the connections between humans and nature.
In 2023, I graduated from Pallas University of Applied Sciences, majoring in photography. I started exhibiting my works in 2020. Since then I’ve had 4 personal exhibitions and multiple group shows. Pallas University of Applied Sciences has recognized my artistic activity with a field scholarship.
